Today is a day that every American will never forget. Today is a day that change…

Today is a day that every American will never forget. Today is a day that changed our country and my family forever. I lost my Uncle John on this day 19 years ago and it doesn’t hurt any less all these years later. Today serves as a reminder that each day is precious and we should never take life for granted ❤️

This book has been on my TBR for a while. I wasn’t sure if reading it this week would be too heavy or close to home, but I’m so glad I did. It was refreshing to read about the amazing acts of kindness that took place on that tragic day. This book tells the story of 38 planes that were headed to the US and diverted to Gander, Newfoundland after the events of 9/11. It was heartwarming to read about people volunteering their homes to stranded flight passengers, gathering donations and supplies, and how quickly everyone came together as a community to make sure those 6,600 people had a place to call home for a few days.

My heart goes out to all those who lost a family member, friend, or colleague that day. May god bless the victims, their families, and the first responders 🇺🇸

Hug your loved ones a little tighter today 💙

  1. I’ve seen Come From Away twice, is such an amazing and beautifully told story. I remember my friend asking if I wanted to go and see a musical about 9/11 and I immediately thought I wouldn’t be able to cope with it but so glad I did! This book will be going on my wish list 👍
